Strong work history showing ability to work on both internal and/ or external communication activities highlighted in recent role as Communications Officer for the employer segment of superannuation (within the ATO). During tenure, I demonstrated experience in developing and implementing communication strategies and associated activities for a range of stakeholders and product owners. During development of a BAU communications strategy, which was inclusive of various types of communications activities such as; social media messaging, web content and articles for industry publications best confirms my strong experience in communications and marketing. Achievements in this role was not only developing a comprehensive image suite for social media use but the affirmative feedback received on the preparation of an executive speech given at the South Australian Government Tax information Forum on super reforms in 2013.

Shown during work within the ATO when objectives were to review and rewrite employer superannuation web content in collaboration with stakeholders and primarily business owners, to ensure all technical and legal information provided to the target audience was not only simple but also user centred. Constantly building and maintaining working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, team members and clients during previous role within ATO. Development of effective influencing communication and business approaches ensured success delivering on intended results with stakeholders. When resolving a technical publishing issue for the SBSCH team by following diligent process and open communication my ability in rectifying issues within a short timeframe resulted in building a business relationship of trust and influence was highlighted. Demonstrated ability proven as communication officer in the employer segment to develop, implement and evaluate marketing communications, strategies or plans Position responsibility included developing communication products that sit within an overarching communication strategy for products that are complex and nuanced often with legislation still being finalised. Ability validated during work on the SuperStream communication suite for employers aimed at delivering communication products developed to convey complex technical information. Working in collaboration with business owners and the project team, I proved ability to deliver clear and concise information by choosing products such as social media, video and advertising to simplify a complex communication. Common communication barrier is the confusion of legal jargon of which I created a glossary of terms that broke down barriers and provided a clear communication within a moderately complex environment.
Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism, or similar would be well regarded, as will prior learning and experience in a relevant marketing and communication field
Possessing high level of knowledge in marketing and communication fields, verified in prior positions as Communication Officer within Employer Super as a valued and collaborative team member. Over five years of work experience, in private and public sector, has developed capabilities gained during successful completion of Bachelor’s Degree in communication and marketing. Further from these studies, shown a commitment to ongoing professional development and up skilling keeping ahead of market trends and tools. Commencing my career within the ATO graduate development program ensured my success with participation in professional growth around theoretical and technical field principals.
