Holding a Bachelor degree in Science, majoring in Public Health, facilitated by the University of the
Sunshine Coast in 2012. In addition to this, I also demonstrate six years of invaluable experience
working in workplace safety focused positions. Committed to continuing my professional
development I have completed, Skills Assessment from VETASSESS for the nominated occupation
of Environmental Health Officer in 2015, Associate Degree in Health, Safety and Environment,
through University Bordeaux in 2009, First Aid and Emergency First Response certification and
IOSH Managing Safety offered by the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health. Confident that
that I can deliver on the high levels of support that this opportunity with Sunshine Coast Council
offers, I display an exceptional level of competence in areas such as, safety assessments and policy
based documentation frameworks.

Demonstrating myself to be an active team member, I have been instrumental in contributing to
exceptional teams throughout my career history. Committed to team performance and often
assisting others, I am prepared to work overtime or complete additional tasks to help team
members or management. Exhibited in my position of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
officer at TCMI in France, I was employed to drive the implementation of a new safety quality
environment certification OSHSAS18000. Upon commencing within my role, I was faced with a
culture that lacked awareness, responsibility or education on workplace safety. Although they had
a staff member who had been responsible for company OHS, they lacked knowledge or passion
and as a direct result of this no polices or procedures were in place. In aim to keep a productive
working relationship with this staff member following my handover into this positon, I worked
with this colleague to gain a better understanding of their actual positon within the company what
motivated them each day at work. Through discovering the business acumen that this employee
had in inventory management, I worked in collaboration with my colleague to develop a business
plan and its delivery to the Chief Executive. The outcome of my initiative built a cultivating working
relationship within the employee and overall team, I also contributed to business and team
operational success to much acclaim from senior management. Demonstrating a commitment to
supporting constructive working relationships, I manifest this by valuing individual difference and
diversity and recognising working styles of individuals and factoring this into the management of
tasks. During communication with external and internal customers, I treat everyone with respect
and courtesy verifying my ability to building long-lasting professional relationships.
Demonstrated ability to understand and apply relevant legislation, regulations, and policies
Whilst obtaining my Bachelor of Science, I was required to possess a thorough understanding of
relevant legislative processes. As an established member of the Queensland community and the
workplaces within, I am committed to staying up to date with the principal Work Health and
Safety law in Queensland consisting of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and supported by
the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011. It was a requirement of my position as an active
student to thoroughly understand and interpret the relevant Acts and legislation, to understand
the organisations under the pertaining legislation. In my commitment to professional industry
knowledge of standards and how they apply to organisations, I draw on the case studies I
completed throughout obtaining qualifications and subscribing to safety bodies such as Worksafe
QLD and Safe at work newsletters.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service
A confident and experienced communicator, I possess high-level oral and written communication
skills, which can be demonstrated, throughout my employment history where I have
communicated with internal and external stakeholders. Exampled both verbally and in writing on a
daily basis when interacting with clients, external agencies and service providers. In my position as
OHS officer with TCMI in France, I ensured during all exchanges that I used the correct OHS
terminology and referred to appropriate legislation within all reports, policies and procedures that
I developed and implemented across the business. During the process of auditing the company in
nuclear safety and certification, I was required to provide concise information in regards to critical
adherence to Government guidelines. It was pivotal in my success of organisational change in OHS
culture to capture all business operations in a live setting. To obtain this information, I spent time
with all staff observing their work environment and processes. The outcome of my methodology
was the success in bringing TCMI in line with compliance measures and highlighting my ability to
communicate in all settings with a high-level customer acceptance.

to learn and adapt to new software and technology
Demonstrating a high level of attention to detail, I offer strong technical and computer skills with
the ability to acquire new skills and knowledge quickly and easily. Validated in my current positon
of Business Manager, I have exhibited my proficiency using various software and systems
including, Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, PowerPoint and
Outlook.
